Relationship Advice About Emotional Cost

Relationship Advice to Lower Your Emotional Cost

  1. Pursue people who have good stress tolerance and coping skills.
People who can handle stresses will free you from fulfilling those needs. You are only needed when a extreme stressor occurs, lowering your emotional cost.

  2. Pursue people who are similar to you.
This is only true if you like yourself. If you hate yourself, find someone who will treat you like shit and opposite of you.

  3. Learn good communication and conflict resolution skills.
Usually every relationship will experience conflicts. Learn how to argue correctly and make up after every conflict. If you and your lover argue incorrectly, you may be attacking each other's self-esteem building resentment in the relationship and eventually placing the relationship at risk of breaking up.

  4. Avoid pursuing people with emotional problems.
People who have emotional problems will cause you grief. When they are depressed, they will make you depressed. When they are stressed, they will stress you out.
